We’ve been working hard behind the scenes, and we’re incredibly excited to announce a major step forward for Ancient World Online: our custom web application, the Access Portal, is now complete!

This portal is designed to be your one-stop shop for everything related to your account and the game world. It’s a new way for you to connect with the game and your fellow players.

Why We Built Our Own Authentication Solution

One of the most important decisions we made was to develop our own custom authentication system for the portal and not rely on third-party services like Steam or Epic Games. We wanted to be completely transparent about our reasoning:

• Full Control: This gives us full control over your account, allowing us to manage it in a way that best serves the community.
• True Cross-Platform Experience: A single account created through our portal will be the key to your game character. This means you can play with the same character and all your gear on different platforms, ensuring a seamless cross-platform experience.
• Account Security: Your account with us is separate from any third-party service. If for any reason your Steam or Epic account is blocked, your Ancient World Online account will remain safe and accessible.
• We’ll simply use these platforms for what they do best:
  • Game publishing
  • Purchases and in-game transactions
  • Refund processing

  But your login and player data are managed entirely by Oriented Pain Studio, ensuring a seamless and consistent experience across platforms.

What You Can Expect in the Portal

Once you register and log in, you’ll be able to:

• Register new accounts and manage your profile.
• View live leaderboards to see who the top players are.
• Check server capacity and status in real-time.
• See which is the best guild in the game.
• Find out who the top event players are.

Finally, in addition to the portal, we are also happy to report that we have finalized the structure for the Ancient World Online Database! This lays the groundwork for all the in-game information you’ll be able to access in the future.
